Frank is a Director with EEPB in the Oil and Gas Group where he focuses on providing audit, tax, outsourced accounting and advisory services to the upstream oil and gas industry.
Frank has over 25 years of experience as both CFO and Controller with small to mid-size public and private upstream oil and gas companies. In his roles as CFO and Controller, Frank has worked with executive teams to build start-up companies and either take them public or monetize their assets in a private sale. As CFO, Frank was instrumental in the growth and sale of Middle Bay Oil in 1999 and EnCap-backed Renaissance Holding Co. in 2013. Frank was the Controller with Yorktown Energy-backed GeoMet and was instrumental in taking the company from a start-up to a NASDAQ stock listing. Frank’s depth of knowledge in financial roles with upstream companies is very wide. Frank’s experience includes debt and equity financing, auditing, tax compliance, and forecasting and planning.
Frank began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1988 with Sonat, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama as a financial analyst and in 1990 began working as Controller and CFO for small to medium size upstream oil and gas companies focusing on conventional oil and gas production in the Gulf Coast and Midcontinent. Frank came to Houston in 1997 and through March 2016 he has worked at Middle Bay Oil (predecessor to 3TEC Energy), GeoMet and Renaissance Holding Company and was responsible for various financial operations, including financial reporting, capital raising, forecasting and various board member responsibilities. Frank received his BS in Accounting and MBA at the University of Alabama and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. Frank supports the oil and gas industry through his active membership in the Houston Producers Forum, Houston Energy Finance Group, Texas Alliance of Energy Producers and IPAA. Frank lives in Seabrook, Texas with his wife and daughter.
