Margaret  E. “Meg” Guy

Meg graduated with honors from Elon University in 1981 with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting and a minor in Economics and was nominated by the university to the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.   After graduation from college she joined a large local C.P.A. firm in Jacksonville, Florida where she became a partner in 1989.  During her 19 years practicing public accounting in Jacksonville most of her practice was focused on providing specialized financial, tax and consulting services to physicians, dentists, attorneys and law firms, as well as a variety of other entrepreneurs and their businesses. 

In 1999 she returned to her family’s farm in Salisbury, Maryland to continue raising her family.  During her “sabbatical” from public accounting, Meg served as the Director of the Health Care Group of a local CPA firm. As director she managed a 365 physician IPA, assisted with the design and negotiations with the local hospital for a Diabetes Disease Management Program, negotiated managed care contracts, started a credentialing organization, conducted training, and assisted practices with business operations.    

In January 2008 Meg was recruited by Easley, Endres, Parkhill & Brackendorff, P.C. to join the firm as a Senior Tax Manager and to add to the development of services to the large health care community in the Houston area.  In addition, Meg provides tax and business advisory services to various high net worth individuals and service providers in the Houston area.     

After moving to Houston in 2008 she has enjoyed exploring all that Houston has to offer and joined Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.  She presented a program locally to increase awareness for “Financial Literacy for Children and Teens”. In addition she serves on the Health Care Emerging Issues Committee with the Greater Houston Partnership.          

Meg is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, Healthcare Financial Management Society, Medical Group Management Assoc, Gulf Coast MGMA, and is a 2009 nominee for the American College of Healthcare Executives.
