Audit Senior Staff

Job Description:

  • Participate in multiple industry client engagements from planning stages to issuing a report
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with clients
  • Perform analytical review of audit documents
  • Review client accounting procedures and systems of internal control
  • Identify accounting and auditing issues; perform research to solve issues that arise
  • Develop a working knowledge of firm audit procedures and methods
  • Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and documentation supporting audit opinions
  • Provide recommendations for improving client controls and enhanced business efficiency
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff

Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting or related field
  • Desire to complete the CPA exam
  • Relevant work experience (3 - 4 years' experience of auditing with a public accounting firm)
  • Strong time management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

Practice Development Manager

The Practice Development Manager will be responsible for assisting leadership with creating personalized business development plans that align with EEPB's strategic growth plan. The PDM will manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. They will be held accountable for regular contact through the CRM with centers of influence and top clients. They will assist with cross selling leads and identifying common referral sources to build. The person in this role will coordinate action items in colleague's individual business plans- locate groups to join that coordinate with key industry niches, find boards to participate in, speaking engagements, manage sponsorships and their ROI, etc. Responsible for updating and managing lists from key contact areas of focus. Ensure that business plans and action items are efficiently executed. The PDM will develop a marketing strategy for a new or existing business- EOC credit, cybersecurity, new tax law challenges, oil and gas accounting, quality or earning reports, etc. They will assist with publicizing EEPB by managing email list and blasts, website updates and coordinate social media content.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in related field; advanced degree/MBA is a plus
  • 5-8 years’ experience in business development at an accounting firm or related field
  • Advanced CRM system skills
  • Strong time management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, with sense of accountability for quality work product
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and analytical thinking
 
 


EEPB Innovatax, LLC
Associate, Credits and Incentives Services

Responsibilities:

  • ​Working with a multi-diciplinary team to conduct Research and Development 9R&D) Tax Credit consulting services, including:
    • ​leading client intervies and discussions,
    • performing tax technical research,
    • developing business and industry expertise,
    • Analyzing client data and financials,
    • Conduct subject-matter expert interviews and review client financial and technical documentation to translate technical development activities in the tax definitions for qualified research and development.
  • Analyze technical documents to ascertain and document tax treatment of items.
  • Construct technical narratives to convey technical concepts using standard industry terminology accurately and efficiently.
    

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.  C.P.A., J.D., or MBA is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, etc.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to travel and work at client locations.

Manager, Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits and Incentives

Responsibilities:

  • Manage R&D tax credit studies and related activities
  • Develop and sustain excellent client relationships during delivery of R&D tax credit services
  • Provide R&D tax credit quality assurance, engagement reviewer, and exam support
  • Perform engagement management activities including billing analysis, invoicing, and engagement setup
  • Draft opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, and writing other technical memoranda

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience conducting and managing R&D tax credit consulting projects
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed CPA or J.D. /LL.M. strongly preferred
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and use of the internet
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx a plus, but not required
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
  • Ability to travel and work at client locations.
